The eDot team has worked at the forefront of technological and digital advancement globally, building and scaling internationally recognisable companies and products. Together they represent a combined total of over a hundred professional years in the technological vertical. The team has an extensive global network and a proven track record of both sourcing and optimising the return from investments.
The eDot approach is based around not only investing in companies but also playing an on-going role in helping entrepreneurs to build and grow their companies. This in turn helps companies to reach the Fund’s target exit event faster. This management approach has already earned eDot the reputation that it “gets the tech and how to sell it” and this approach is setting eDot apart from other European VC partners.
The eDot Innovation Fund is a 10-year investment vehicle targeting Early Stage technology companies with global growth potential, providing investors with the opportunity to benefit from Europe’s growing technology sector.

Alan Devlin | Managing Partner
Technology investor and co-founder of eDot. Former founder and director of Webfactory, Ireland’s largest digital agency. Building global tech assets for 21 years. Alan is a renowned Irish entrepreneur, with powerful networks in Ireland and globally. He is a thought leader and a sought-after speaker. Alan has been at the core of the digital industry since he began his career in 1996.
Kieran Sweeney | Founding Partner
Co-founder of eDot. Former Programme Developer for Version 1, the largest indigenous IT Consultancy firm in Ireland, with over 750 people in the UK + Ireland. Kieran, joined Version 1 in 2006 (when it had less than 100 employees), he was instrumental in its growth to its current status. Kieran is relentless in his pursuit of technological and digital innovations that will disrupt and transform the world.
Robert Mbom | Founding Partner
Investment banker and senior advisor to many government and business leaders on key national issues such as security, economic development, stability and strategic planning. Advised on the design and creation of a sovereign wealth fund to catalyse the development of a national technology sector. Robert has a powerful network of senior international contacts.
Simone Boswell | Partner
Simone has a strong track record as a strategic leader. Advising, evaluating and consulting on all aspects of raising funding in the US & Ireland since 2009. She was responsible for developing and executing Ireland’s first state sponsored incubator for startups in the US (San Francisco). With a high yielding rolodex, she has closed hundreds of deals. Fiona Walsh | Advisor
